Podcasts are something of a past time for me. I listen to at least one a day and I love having them on at work as it keeps my mind flowing and the ideas coming. Being able to hear different perspectives by all sorts of professionals out there in the world with their own specialties is nothing short of amazing.
I am always looking for those seat lifting, ear-bending episodes that can change your life. Each one of these had that an effect in one way or another. So here is the first edition of my podcast rundown.
The Tim Ferriss Show
Tim Ferriss is an iconic interviewer. He has had some of the greatest leaders, entertainers, performers and everything else in-between. Each show makes you think just a little differently and gives you great insight into actions you can implement in your own life.
Ramit Sethi on Persuasion and Turning a Blog Into a Multi-Million-Dollar Business
Ramit Sethi is one entertaining guy. This is just a pure fun, entertaining episode that will make the 2+ hours they talk go by in seconds. For the side-hustler out there who needs a good kick in the ass to get motivated about starting a business, to keep working on a current/previous project, this will help you take that next step.
Tony Robbins on Morning Routines, Peak Performance, and Mastering Money
Whether you love or hate Tony Robbins, you have to admit his ability and power to move people is second to none. He has an extremely passionate persuasive tone that makes you feel every little thing you suppress in your daily life.
Tim and Tony talk about his book he wrote, Money Master the Game. A recommended read, it gives a whole picture look on Financial Independence and all the investment options out there besides index funds. It’s a good one if you want to know all the options out there.
ChooseFI
Jonathan and Brad over at ChooseFI were my start to my own path to FI. They pride themselves on a show that crowd sources everything FI-related into one place that any person just starting out can follow. This is a great place to start learning about the FI world.
009 | Travel Rewards: How To Travel The World For Free (The Easy Way)
What can I say, learning about travel hacking was one of biggest game-changers both HerFI and mine’s life. We love to travel but this episode allowed us to do it for so much cheaper.
Take this journey and listen to this episode if you still aren’t travel hacking. Even if you don’t travel overseas, this can still help the domestic traveler. We took advantage of this in September for our first travel hack to Colorado. Read more about it here.
016 | House Hacking With Coach Carson
A great intro into the world of house-hacking. The idea that you can live rent-free or extremely cheap. Even though we didn’t opt for this type of lifestyle, it still kept us mindful of housing costs and enabled us to buy within our means.
Smart Passive Income
Pat Flynn explains everything side-hustle related in an easy to understand way. If you are thinking of ways to start making money online, look no further than Smart Passive Income.
SPI 263: Laddering Up: How to Build a 7-Figure Business by Building a $7K per Month Business
If you want to get rich online, then listen to this episode! Does that sound like click-bait or what? Am I rich? Not even close. Yet, this episode walks you through the steps of creating a successful website/business from the ground up. It teaches you the principles to follow to dream big and know you can make money on your own.
SPI 283: Six-Figures in an Obscure Niche with Cassidy Tuttle
I loved this episode because it just seems so simple of a niche that would be impossible to make money in. Yet Cassidy is making a six figure income talking about succulents. If you are thinking of your own niche site, let this story inspire you and know that just about any idea can work if you refine it in a way that it can reach an audience.
Profit Power Pursuit
Tara Gentile has great episodes on entrepreneur topics. She talks with many creatives and business professionals and gathers insights anyone can use.
Building a Business on The Side of a Job You Love with Laptop Lifestyle Creator Alexis Teichmiller
Being an entrepreneur is a dream to many. Being location independent and only needing a laptop and internet connection to make money anywhere. This episode goes into that lifestyle and talks about the pros and cons, but with a twist that her full-time job is for a company yet still makes time to work her side-hustle. She also talks about another interesting form of travel hacking and seeing how you can benefit others to get free stays across the globe.
Well folks, there you have it. My top 7 podcast episodes I’ve listened to these past couple months. I hope they inspire you as much as they have me.
